Research focused on peripheral and central orofacial pain mechanisms, neuroplasticity, trigeminal motor physiology, brain imaging and temporomandibular disorders. >500 peer-reviewed papers. H-index = 68 (total citations >24.000; 42 papers cited >100 times). Past chair of SIG Orofacial and Head Pain, IASP; Task force member of IASP Chronic Pain Classification.
