This lecture is focussing mainly on the clinical examination of the TMJ, muscles and occlusion.
Besides a thorough case history a treatment-oriented functional diagnostics is trying to answer the following questions:
– What kind of structural lesions do the patient have?
– Where are these lesions located?
– Are there any musculoskeletal impediments that could prevent a successful treatment.
– Why does the patients have these symptoms?
– Are there dental causes that can be eliminated?
– Clinical examination techniques to help answer these questions will be demonstrated.

Обширний клінічний досвід у диференціальній діагностиці головного, лицьового та шийного болю стоматологічного походження, консервативному лікуванні CMD і оклюзійно-пов'язаних дисфункцій, і складній ортопедичній реабілітації функціонально та пародонтально скомпрометованих зубних рядів. Колишній директор Department of Prosthodontics у Center for Dental Medicine Marburg University, де він встановив комплексні протоколи лікування для пацієнтів із CMD і геріатричної ортопедичної стоматології.
Visiting Assistant Professor і Visiting Professor у TMJ and Orofacial Pain Clinic University of California San Francisco (1990, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1996), що працює з професором Чарльзом Макнейлом.
