Професор пародонтології та імплантології University of Bologna, Italy, з 2000 року. Він закінчив University of Bologna у 1988 році та здобув PhD з медичної біотехнології в тому самому університеті у 1999 році. Він має понад 30 років клінічного та академічного досвіду, з основним акцентом на пластичну хірургію пародонта та ведення м'яких тканин навколо зубів та імплантатів.
Він є автором понад 100 наукових публікацій у рецензованих міжнародних журналах, а його клінічна та дослідницька робота суттєво сприяла розробці та вдосконаленню хірургічних підходів до лікування рецесії ясен і реконструкції м'яких тканин. Він є лауреатом кількох міжнародних нагород за клінічні дослідження, включно з E. Bud Tarrson Research Award in Oral Plastic Surgery American Academy of Periodontology Foundation у 2006 та 2008 роках, а також визнання European Federation of Periodontology. Він є Associate Editor International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry і членом редакційних колегій провідних пародонтологічних журналів.
