– A red ring handpiece

– Magnification loupes (if desired, considering that each one of the attendees will be using an EXTARO microscope during the course)

*Each attendee has the opportunity to fabricate and receive a real zirconia crown for an actual case. To do that, they must send analog or digital impressions of a case before the course.

PROGRAM

DAY 1 (9:30-17:30 with lunch and 2 coffee breaks):

– Setting the goals for treatment

– The vertical preparation switch: Why not vertical?

– Pillars of long-term dentistry: Addressing biomechanical issues

– Differences between different vertical preparation approaches 

– Drilling protocol: Edge and edgeless approach, typical and common mistakes

– Preparation on models (premolars and molars). Hands-on experience working with the EXTARO microscope

– The inverted shoulder and the use of retentive elements. Special features and tips. Hands-on experience working with the EXTARO microscope.

Dinner with attendees (INCLUDED IN YOUR FEE).

DAY 2 (9:30-17:30 with lunch and 2 coffee breaks):

– Preparation on models (incisors and canines). Hands-on experience working with the EXTARO microscope 

– Scanning with IOS. Evaluation of undercuts

– Provisional crowns: from the dental lab to the dental office

– Impression taking and timing. Immediate vs delayed impressions

– Solving everyday problems with proper impression-taking techniques.

– Analogue vs digital workflow for vertical preparation

– Hands-on. Cast and die preparation

– The double scan technique. Live demo on a real case

– CAD/CAM settings for vertical crown preparation

– Metal ceramic restorations and vertical crown prep: how to correctly and biologically hide the metal collar of the crown?

– Finishing prosthetic margin. Hands-on experience working with the EXTARO microscope. 

– Hands-on. Application of fit checker and analysis of contact points
