Pediatric Dentistry Congress is based on reports of world-famous lecturers from Japan, USA, Turkey, Belgium and Denmark! The reports are dedicated to the most interesting topics: - tooth space management in daily practice of a children's dentist - apexogenesis, apexification - caries management by risk assessment - minimally invasive treatment methods - rehabilitation of traumatically broken anterior teeth in young patients - behavior management of children and parents - alternate approach to caries prevention Our lecturers will introduce you the Eastern, European and Western pediatric dentistry and will await you in Moscow on 30th November!

Урок 1.Roogies: Cognitive Virtual Tool for behavior management

- Pre Operational (2-7 years old) cognitive stage and implications in pediatric dentistry
- relation between children cognitions and behavior management problems
- How children learn and the importance of prevention of behavior management problems
- Roogies Cognitive tool for behavior management.
- Technology and Future directions for behavior management

Positive behaviors strongly rely on a pain-free dental treatment but also in a child who finds the procedure acceptable and predictable. To achieve that goal; Virtual Technology can be used to improve communication with children about dental procedures and help children to learn according to their cognitive stage in order to prevent behavior management dental problems and promote the quality of the dental experience.

Урок 2.Intra-osseous anesthesia in Pediatric Dentistry

- Limitations of conventional Anesthesia Techniques
- Intra osseous Anesthesia Technique Description
- Advantages of Intra-osseous Anesthesia (personal experience and available scientific evidence)

Урок 3.Preventive and non-restorative caries care in children – a comprehensive approach

- 4D-loop (Determine, Detect, Decide and Do) for caries management and care in everyday practice
- Evidence-based caries risk assessment
- Early caries detection
- Clinical decision-making followed by a personalized care plan for children

Dental caries remains a global public health burden as 44% of all people worldwide is suffering from untreated caries in primary and permanent teeth. Caries is today regarded as a preventable non-communicable disease (NCD), sharing similar biological, behavioral, socioeconomic and lifestyle risk factors with other NCD’s within the metabolic syndrome. Therefore, caries should be subjected to a similar model of chronic disease management. Caries prevention has traditionally relied on fluoride exposure, diet control, proper oral hygiene and antibacterial agents. Prevention of caries as a NCD does certainly not disqualify these methods but bring them into a new context. The lecture will give a brief overview on how these preventive measures can interfere with the drivers of dysbiosis and promote the growth of health-associated clusters in the oral microbiome. Besides the established routines of regular tooth brushing with fluoride products and fluoride varnish applications, there is an opportunity for additional technologies based on ecological principles to address and modify the oral biofilm. Methods to reduce dietary sugar, slow down plaque metabolism and support saliva functions should be further developed and investigated in terms of efficacy, compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Урок 4.Space Maintainers

Anterior Teeth

- Planning a space maintainer that does not restrict growth
- Removable appliance
- Lingual arch

Posterior Teeth

- Band Loop
- Crown distal shoe

Requirements for ideal appliances

Endodontic surgery of primary teeth

- Root Amputation
- Hemisection
- Trisection

Урок 5.Endodontic management of immature permanent teeth: an update on traditional and regenerative treatment options

- Wide spectrum of conventional and emerging treatment options comprising: apexogenesis, apexification, artificial apical barriers, and regenerative endodontic procedures.

- The changing concepts in the management of young permanent teeth with irreversible pulpitis.

- The use of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and bioceramic materials will be reviewed on many long-term follow-up case presentations with different levels of endodontic involvement and hard tissue loss.

- Сhallenges in regenerative endodontics will be discussed with emphasis on clinician- and patient-based outcomes on many, well-documented, long-term case presentations.

Урок 6.Esthetic Rehabilitation of Crown fractures in young patients

- The basic adhesion strategies for bonding to enamel and dentin.

- Isolation during restoration of crown fractures in young patients.

- Fragment reattachment and Class 4 resin-based restorations.

- The tips and tricks of fragment reattachment procedures

- Crown fractures that require various grades of pulpal management

- Late referral cases with crown displacement

- Shade selection strategies and correct fragment alignment techniques in a pictorial, step-by-step format.

- Principles of shade selection, layering techniques, morphology and polishing techniques will be demonstrated on several simple to complex case presentations.

Урок 7.Caries management by risk assessment for children

- The process of dental caries as a bacterial triggered disease and the many factors that influence the disbalance of the oral microbiome.

- The pathological and protective factors related to caries initiation, progression and prevention

- The principles of clinical intervention in the caries process, and how to put this into practice.

- A caries risk assessment for children and manage dental caries based upon the caries risk level.

This course will present the latest information on the rationale and principles of caries risk assessment and management that will aid the practitioner in delivering optimal care for children in clinical practice.

This presentation will summarize the science behind the “caries balance” concept, which is the key to caries management by risk assessment in clinical practice. If pathological factors prevail, caries progresses. If protective factors prevail, the caries process is halted or reversed. A description of the tools to implement “caries management by risk assessment” in the dental office will be included. Implementation in dental practice provides patients with genuine hope and success in the management of their oral health. It is a practice builder.

Урок 8.Minimal intervention approaches including SDF for the management of dental caries in children

- The concepts of minimal intervention dentistry and minimally invasive methods for optimal delivery of care in children.

- Selection of cases based on severity of disease, behavior and other individual medical/social considerations.

- The role of SDF and other methods for caries management on children.

- The principles of clinical intervention in the caries process, and how to put this into practice.

'This course will present the rationale and principles of minimal intervention dentistry, including detailed descriptions of minimally invasive (non surgical) approaches currently used for the management of dental caries in children. We will discuss the importance of evaluating disease severity, behavior and medical/social individual considerations for optimal case selection and provide an update on the latest techniques and materials available (including silver diamine fluoride), reviewing the risks and benefits as well as, pros and cons of different methods.

Урок 9.Webinar 2 of Bakr Rabie

Part II of the same series deals with few more issues related to Attaining the perfect smile by leveling gingival margins. You will learn How to improve gingival margins and assure that the gingiva follows during teeth extrusion.

A live demonstration on how to apply torque to ensure thickening of the attached gingiva before and during extrusion.

You will be able to diagnose.

How to integrate auto transplantation in your treatment plan to regenerate the Periodontium. A horizontally impacted second molar can cause a deep pocket on the distal surface of the adjacent first molar. Uprighting a horizontally impacted 7s is very time and labor intensive. Extraction of the impacted 7s and Auto transplanting the impacted 8s with developing roots into the extraction site of the impacted 7s will rebuild the bone, PDL and cementum on the distal of the 6s.
