The electric commutator micromotor without light CH660 model 460 belongs to the group of electric powered dental instruments, where the micromotor itself serves solely as an actuator for driving a wide range of micromotor handpieces designed for use in dental surgery. The basic handpieces available for connection to the micromotor include contra-angle handpieces (120D, 120) along with heads (168D, 168D/T) and a straight micromotor handpiece (110D). The body of the micromotor is made from stainless steel to minimise the weight of this dental instrument. The hygiene of the micromotor is ensured by sterilisation at 135°C. The micromotor connects to the dental unit via a special micromotor hose, which is also compatible with the older popular type of micromotor P2ED460.
